Viewing Your Trade History

The Trades page is where you see every trade that has been imported into TraderNest, whether through API auto-sync or CSV upload. It presents your trades in a detailed table that you can sort, filter, and explore. This article covers how to navigate and use the Trades page effectively.

The Trades Table

When you open the Trades page from the sidebar, you see a table listing all your completed trades. Each row represents one trade (a complete open-to-close position) and displays the following columns:

  • Date — The date and time the trade was closed.
  • Pair — The trading pair (e.g., BTCUSDT, ETHUSDT, SOLUSDT).
  • Direction — Whether the trade was Long (you bought expecting price to rise) or Short (you sold expecting price to fall).
  • Entry Price — The price at which you entered the position.
  • Exit Price — The price at which you closed the position.
  • P&L — Your realized profit or loss on the trade, shown in your display currency. Profitable trades are shown in green; losing trades in red.
  • Fees — The total trading fees and funding charges for this trade.
  • Duration — How long the trade was held open (e.g., "2h 15m" or "3d 4h").
  • Exchange — Which exchange the trade came from.

Sorting Your Trades

You can sort the trades table by clicking on any column header. Click once to sort in ascending order, click again to sort in descending order. Useful sorting approaches include:

  • Sort by Date — See your most recent or oldest trades first.
  • Sort by P&L — Find your biggest winners or worst losers quickly.
  • Sort by Duration — Identify your longest and shortest held trades.
  • Sort by Pair — Group trades by the instrument you traded.

Date Range Selector

At the top of the Trades page, you will find a date range selector. This controls which trades are displayed in the table. You can choose from preset periods like "Last 7 Days," "Last 30 Days," "This Month," "Last Month," or "All Time." You can also set a custom date range with specific start and end dates.

Free plan limitation: On the Free plan, only the last 3 months of trade history are visible. Older trades are stored but hidden until you upgrade to Starter or Advanced, which provide unlimited trade history.

Opening a Trade Detail

Clicking on any trade row opens the Trade Detail modal (or side panel), where you can see all the information about that specific trade and add your own notes, tags, and review. See the Trade Detail & Review article for more on this.

Quick Stats

Above the trades table, TraderNest shows quick summary statistics for the currently displayed trades (based on the active date range and filters). These include total trades, win rate, total P&L, and profit factor for the selected subset. This makes it easy to evaluate your performance for any filtered view.
