AI Hawk is TraderNest's built-in artificial intelligence trading coach. It is named after a hawk — a bird that flies high above the landscape, sees patterns and movements invisible to those on the ground, and strikes with precision when the moment is right. In the same way, AI Hawk hovers above your trading data, spotting behavioral patterns you cannot see yourself, and coaching you to eliminate the mistakes that cost you money.
Why You Need a Trading Coach
Every professional athlete has a coach. Not because the athlete lacks talent, but because even the best performers have blind spots — habits and patterns they cannot see from inside their own performance. Trading is no different. You might know that revenge trading is bad, but do you know exactly how many revenge trades you took last month? Do you know how much they cost you in dollars? Do you know which specific triggers cause you to revenge trade?
AI Hawk answers these questions using cold, hard data. It does not give you generic trading tips that you could find on YouTube. Instead, it analyzes your specific trades, your patterns, your rules, and gives you personalized, actionable feedback rooted in your actual behavior.
The Three Levels of AI Hawk
AI Hawk operates on three levels, each progressively more powerful:
1. Hawk Eyes — Pattern Detection
Hawk Eyes is the always-on analytical engine that continuously scans your trade history to detect behavioral patterns. It identifies issues like revenge trading, overtrading, FOMO entries, poor timing, position sizing violations, and more. Each detected pattern includes a severity rating, frequency count, and an estimated dollar cost.
Availability: All paid plans. Free plan users can see pattern names and total cost but details are blurred.
2. Hawk Chat — Interactive AI Coaching
Hawk Chat is an interactive conversation interface where you can ask AI Hawk questions about your trading. It has full access to your trade data, detected patterns, and strategy rules. You can ask questions like "What is my biggest weakness?", "Should I trade less on Fridays?", or "Analyze my last 20 trades." The AI responds with data-backed insights specific to your trading.
Availability: Starter plan (30 AI credits per month) and Advanced plan (unlimited).
3. Hawk Alerts — Proactive Coaching
With Hawk Alerts, the AI does not wait for you to ask — it reaches out to you proactively. When it detects that a pattern is worsening, it sends you a notification. You might receive an email saying "Your revenge trading increased 40% this week — here is what is triggering it." Or a push notification warning you that you are approaching your daily loss limit.
Availability: Advanced plan only.
How AI Hawk Differs from Generic AI Tools
You might wonder why you need AI Hawk when tools like ChatGPT exist. The key differences are:
- Your data — AI Hawk has direct access to your complete trade history, strategy rules, and detected patterns. A generic AI tool does not know anything about your actual trading unless you manually provide data.
- Specialized analysis — AI Hawk is specifically trained on trading psychology frameworks (Tendler, Douglas, Kahneman). It does not just identify patterns — it explains the psychological mechanisms behind them and provides targeted exercises to fix them.
- Continuous monitoring — AI Hawk runs continuously in the background, not just when you open a chat window. It watches for patterns developing over days and weeks.
- Actionable output — Every insight from AI Hawk comes with a specific action step: "Add this rule to your strategy," "Stop trading during this hour," "Reduce leverage when trading this pair."
Getting Started with AI Hawk
Import Your Trades
AI Hawk needs data to work with. Connect an exchange or import trades via CSV. The more historical data you provide, the better the pattern detection.
Wait for Pattern Analysis
After your first batch of trades is imported, AI Hawk begins analyzing them. Initial pattern detection may take a few minutes depending on the volume of data.
Review Detected Patterns
Go to the AI Hawk section in the sidebar and review the patterns that Hawk Eyes has identified. Start with the highest-severity patterns — these are the ones costing you the most money.
Ask Hawk Chat (Starter+)
Open Hawk Chat and ask about your patterns: "Which pattern is costing me the most?" or "What should I focus on improving first?" The AI will guide you.
