Supported Exchanges Overview

TraderNest supports trade imports from 11 crypto exchanges. Depending on the exchange, you can connect via API for automatic syncing or upload a CSV file manually. This article explains which exchanges are supported, the difference between the two import methods, and the security measures that protect your account.

Supported Exchanges

API Auto-Sync (9 Exchanges)

The following exchanges support automatic trade syncing via API. Once connected, TraderNest pulls your new trades automatically at regular intervals.

  1. Bybit — API key + API secret. IP whitelisting required.
  2. MEXC — API key + API secret.
  3. BloFin — API key + API secret + passphrase.
  4. Bitget — API key + API secret + passphrase.
  5. OKX — API key + API secret + passphrase.
  6. KuCoin — API key + API secret + passphrase. Futures API only.
  7. Gate.io — API key + API secret. Futures trades only.
  8. Hyperliquid — Wallet address only (decentralized exchange, no API key needed).
  9. Binance — API key + API secret. IP whitelisting may be required.

CSV Import Only (2 Exchanges)

The following exchanges are supported via manual CSV upload:

  1. Kraken — Export your trade history from Kraken and upload the CSV to TraderNest.
  2. Deribit — Export your trade log from Deribit and upload the CSV to TraderNest.

API Auto-Sync vs CSV Import

Understanding the difference between these two methods will help you choose the best approach for your setup:

  • API auto-sync is automatic and real-time. You connect your exchange once and TraderNest pulls new trades at regular intervals (typically every 15-30 minutes). You never have to manually upload anything. This method requires a Starter plan or higher.
  • CSV import is manual. You log in to your exchange, export your trade history as a CSV file, then upload that file to TraderNest. You need to repeat this process each time you want to update your trades. CSV import is available on all plans including Free.
Recommendation: If you are on the Starter or Advanced plan, always prefer API auto-sync. It eliminates manual work and ensures your journal is always up to date. Use CSV import only for exchanges that do not support API sync (Kraken and Deribit).

Security: Read-Only Access

TraderNest only requires read-only API access to your exchange account. This means:

  • TraderNest can read your trade history, positions, and account balances.
  • TraderNest cannot place trades, modify orders, or initiate withdrawals.
  • Your funds are completely safe — even if your API key were compromised, no one could move your money.
Important: When creating your API key on any exchange, always select read-only permissions. Never enable trading or withdrawal permissions for your TraderNest API key. If you see options like "Trade," "Withdraw," or "Transfer," leave them unchecked.

For step-by-step instructions on connecting a specific exchange, see the individual exchange guides listed in this category.
