How to Connect BloFin
How to Connect BloFin
This guide walks you through connecting your BloFin account to TraderNest via API. BloFin requires three credentials: an API Key, an API Secret, and a Passphrase. Make sure to note all three during the setup.
Create Your BloFin API Key
Log In to BloFin
Go to blofin.com and log in to your account.
Navigate to API Management
Click on your profile icon, then go to Account > API Management. You may also find this under Settings > API depending on the interface version.
Create a New API Key
Click "Create API" or "Create New Key". Enter a label such as "TraderNest" for easy identification.
Set a Passphrase
BloFin requires you to create a passphrase for each API key. This is an additional security layer — choose a passphrase you will remember and write it down. You will need to enter this passphrase in TraderNest along with the API key and secret.
Set Permissions to Read-Only
Configure the API key permissions:
- Read — Enable this. It allows TraderNest to read your trade history.
- Trade — Leave unchecked.
- Withdraw — Leave unchecked.
Complete Security Verification
Complete the required two-factor authentication step (email code, SMS, or authenticator app) to finalize the API key creation.
Copy All Three Credentials
After creation, copy the following three values:
- API Key
- API Secret (shown only once)
- Passphrase (the one you entered in step 4)
Store all three securely. You will need all of them to connect in TraderNest.
Connect in TraderNest
Add BloFin in TraderNest
Go to Settings > Exchanges > Add Exchange and select BloFin from the list.
Enter All Three Fields
Paste your API Key, API Secret, and Passphrase into the corresponding fields. Make sure each value is in the correct field.
Click Connect
Click "Connect". TraderNest will verify all three credentials and begin syncing your futures trades.
Troubleshooting
- "Invalid credentials" — The most common cause is a mismatched passphrase. Make sure you are entering the exact passphrase you set when creating the API key.
- "Authentication failed" — Verify that the API key and secret are copied correctly and have not expired.
- No trades syncing — Confirm that you have futures trades on BloFin and that the "Read" permission is enabled on the API key.
