How to Connect Hyperliquid

Hyperliquid is a decentralized exchange (DEX), which means it works fundamentally differently from centralized exchanges like Bybit or Binance. The great news is that connecting Hyperliquid to TraderNest is the simplest of all exchanges — you only need your wallet address. No API key, no secret, no passphrase.

Why No API Key is Needed

Because Hyperliquid is a decentralized exchange, all trading data is stored on-chain and is publicly accessible. Anyone can look up trades for any wallet address. This means TraderNest does not need any authentication credentials to read your trade history — just your wallet address.

This also means there is no security risk in connecting Hyperliquid. Your wallet address is public information, and knowing it does not grant anyone access to your funds or the ability to trade on your behalf.

Tip: Hyperliquid is the easiest exchange to connect because it requires no API key setup, no permissions configuration, and no IP whitelisting. Just paste your wallet address and you are done.

Connect Hyperliquid to TraderNest

1

Find Your Hyperliquid Wallet Address

Your Hyperliquid wallet address is the Ethereum-compatible address you use to trade on Hyperliquid. It looks something like: 0x1234...abcd. You can find this address in your wallet (MetaMask, Rabby, or whichever wallet you use to connect to Hyperliquid) or on the Hyperliquid interface in the top-right corner.

2

Copy the Full Address

Copy your complete wallet address. Make sure you copy the entire address — it should start with "0x" and be 42 characters long (including the "0x" prefix).

3

Add Hyperliquid in TraderNest

In TraderNest, go to Settings > Exchanges > Add Exchange and select Hyperliquid from the list.

4

Paste Your Wallet Address

Paste your wallet address into the input field. You will notice that Hyperliquid only asks for one field — the wallet address — unlike other exchanges that require keys and secrets.

5

Click Connect

Click "Connect". TraderNest will immediately begin pulling your Hyperliquid trading history from the on-chain data. The sync is usually fast since the data is publicly available.

What Data is Synced

TraderNest pulls the following data from your Hyperliquid trading activity:

  • All perpetual futures trades (opens and closes)
  • Entry and exit prices
  • Position sizes and direction (long/short)
  • Realized P&L
  • Trading fees
  • Timestamps for all trades

Troubleshooting

  • "Invalid wallet address" — Make sure the address starts with "0x" and is exactly 42 characters long. It should be the same address you see on the Hyperliquid interface when you are logged in.
  • No trades found — Verify that you have traded on Hyperliquid with this wallet address. If you have used multiple wallets, make sure you are using the correct one.
  • Missing recent trades — On-chain data may have a slight delay. If trades from the last few minutes are not appearing, wait and check again in 10-15 minutes.
  • Wrong address — If you trade from a sub-account or a different vault address on Hyperliquid, you may need to enter that specific address rather than your main wallet.
