How to Connect MEXC

This guide walks you through creating a read-only API key on MEXC and connecting it to TraderNest for automatic trade syncing. The entire setup takes about 5 minutes.

Requirement: API auto-sync requires a Starter or Advanced plan. Free plan users can import MEXC trades via CSV.

Create Your MEXC API Key

1

Log In to MEXC

Go to mexc.com and log in to your account using your email, phone number, or third-party login.

2

Navigate to API Management

Click on your profile icon in the top-right corner and select "API Management" from the dropdown. You can also find this under Account > API Management in your account settings.

3

Create a New API Key

Click "Create API Key". Enter a memo or label for the key — use "TraderNest" to identify it easily. MEXC may ask you to complete a security verification (email code, SMS, or authenticator).

4

Set Permissions to Read-Only

Configure the permissions for the new API key:

  • Read — Enable this permission. This gives TraderNest access to view your trade history and account data.
  • Futures Read — Enable this permission to allow syncing of your futures trades.
  • Trade — Leave unchecked.
  • Withdraw — Leave unchecked.
5

Copy Your API Key and Secret

After completing verification, MEXC will display your API Key (also called Access Key) and API Secret (also called Secret Key). Copy both values immediately and store them somewhere safe. The Secret Key is typically shown only once.

Connect in TraderNest

6

Open Exchange Settings

In TraderNest, navigate to Settings > Exchanges and click "Add Exchange".

7

Select MEXC and Enter Credentials

Choose MEXC from the exchange list. Paste your API Key and API Secret into the corresponding fields. Ensure there are no leading or trailing spaces in the pasted values.

8

Click Connect

Click "Connect" to finalize the setup. TraderNest will validate your credentials and begin pulling your trade history. The initial sync may take a few minutes depending on your trade volume.

MEXC-Specific Notes

  • MEXC API keys do not expire by default, but you can set an expiration date during creation if you prefer.
  • MEXC does not require IP whitelisting for read-only keys, but you may choose to add TraderNest's server IP for additional security.
  • Only futures trades are synced by TraderNest. Spot trading data is not imported.

Troubleshooting

  • "Invalid API Key" — Verify that the API key and secret were copied correctly without extra spaces or line breaks.
  • No trades found — Confirm you have futures trades on MEXC. If you only traded spot, there will be no data to sync.
  • Permission denied — Go back to MEXC API Management and confirm that "Read" and "Futures Read" permissions are enabled.
