Cancelling Your Subscription
If you decide to cancel your TraderNest subscription, we have made the process straightforward. Your data is preserved, and you can re-subscribe at any time. This guide explains exactly what happens before, during, and after cancellation.
How to Cancel
Open Billing Settings
Navigate to Settings in the left sidebar, then click the Billing tab.
Click Cancel Subscription
Scroll down to the bottom of the Billing page and click Cancel Subscription.
Confirm Cancellation
A confirmation dialog will appear explaining what will happen. You may optionally provide a reason for cancelling (this helps us improve). Click Confirm Cancellation to proceed.
Receive Confirmation Email
You will receive a confirmation email at your registered email address confirming the cancellation and the date your plan will revert to Free.
What Happens After You Cancel
- You keep access until the end of your billing period. If you cancel on March 10 and your billing cycle ends on March 28, you retain full access to all your plan features until March 28. You are not cut off immediately.
- After the billing period ends, your account reverts to the Free plan. This means you will have access to CSV import, 1 exchange account, the basic dashboard (4 widgets), and 3 months of trade history.
- Your data is NOT deleted. All your trades, strategies, rules, notes, screenshots, AI Hawk history, and community memberships remain saved in your account. If you re-subscribe later, everything will be exactly as you left it.
- API connections stop syncing. If you were using API auto-sync, your exchange connections will stop pulling new trades once the plan reverts to Free. The historical data remains.
- You will not be charged again. No further payments will be taken unless you manually re-subscribe.
What You Lose Access To
When your plan reverts to Free, the following features become inaccessible (but data is still preserved behind the scenes):
- API auto-sync (exchange connections stop syncing)
- Full AI Hawk pattern details (reverts to blurred previews)
- AI Hawk Chat
- AI Hawk Alerts (Advanced only)
- Strategies and Rules (data preserved but inaccessible)
- Plan vs Actual analysis
- Insights pages (Time, R:R, Duration, Pair, Fee analysis)
- Academy courses and sprints
- Community participation (you leave all communities)
- Team Workspaces (Advanced only)
- Trade export
- Trade history beyond 3 months
Re-Activating Your Subscription
If you want to come back, re-subscribing is simple:
Go to Billing
Navigate to Settings → Billing.
Choose a Plan
Select the plan you want and click Upgrade.
Enter Payment Details
Enter your payment information (or confirm the card on file) and complete the purchase.
Instant Reactivation
Your plan is activated immediately. All your previous data — trades, strategies, notes, patterns — becomes accessible again. If you had API connections, they will resume syncing automatically.
Cancelling During a Yearly Subscription
If you are on a yearly plan and cancel:
- You keep access to your plan for the remainder of the year you already paid for.
- The plan will not auto-renew at the end of the year.
- No partial refund is issued for remaining months on a yearly plan by default. Contact [email protected] if you have special circumstances.
